Who am I? Someone who has
recently (beginning of 2007) unleashed the creative storm on
jewelry. When my friends introduced me to making jewelry, I
tried to avoid it. Mostly because I knew once I started, I
wouldn't stop. I'm quite grateful that they showed me their
passions because it's opened up a new world of possibilities,
creativity, and conversation.
I’m trying to carve out a niche in handmade jewelry featuring
handmade glass beads by myself or some of my favorite glass
artists. While concentrated on glass beads, I’ve expanded my
repertoire of jewelry-making beyond beading to include simple
wire-wrap and chain maille. I will probably continue expand and
experiment with precious metal clay and metalsmithing at some
point since I have ideas pouring out of my head and no current
way to implement them without learning some additional skills.
Why should you visit here?
Hmmm…..I don’t know yet. I’m still getting to know my site
visitors. I’m assuming you stopped by because you know me from
somewhere – in person or through social networking on Flickr,
Etsy, or other artist’s websites. If so, thank you for stopping
by! What I do know is that I'm loving this journey in art and
art jewelry and would love to share what I learn as I go.
Who are you? I’d like to get to
know who’s stopping by. Feel free to drop me a line and let me
know what you like, don’t like, or what other information you
would find helpful. I have some ideas of where I plan to grow my
website but feedback would be nice, too.

What’s New?
As of September 2008, for those of you who check out my site
occasionally, you will notice some changes. I’m planning a HUGE
MOVE across the world (Texas to Hong Kong) and since it will be
a long, drawn out process of selling the house, moving and
getting set up, I decided it would be better to officially close
for a bit and re-open when I have time to offer real customer
service. However, I’m still continuing to do little projects
here and there. The momentum seems to have built up that I can’t
quite stop!
As of September 3, I needed to post a new landing page since I
just sold out my current stock of lampwork beads. **blink,
blink** Yay! I’m still pinching myself. What a boost to artist
confidence! I haven’t quite decided where I’m going with my
jewelry business other than continuing to work on little
projects and seeing where the wind blows. That’s kind of fun!
And maybe that's all I'll do. Then again, maybe not. We shall
see.
Coming Soon (or maybe
later, it depends)
Because these are questions I get asked regularly, I will be
writing the following articles for this website
-
Getting Started in Lampworking (including links to books and
online sources)
-
Appreciating the Art of Lampworking (what’s so great about
lampwork anyway?)
-
Establishing an Online Presence
